I put off watching episode 15.  I knew it was gonna be bad.   Let’s just go over the total misery of this episode, shall we? (spoilers ahoy) Kang Chil doesn’t just get stabbed and shot at multiple times, he relives it twice over!  Traveling back and forth in time!  To be shot and stabbed over and over!   Gook Soo, crying, because he can’t save Kang Chil from all the shooting and stabbing! The goddamn miracle is Kang Chil, sacrificing himself, for the cop that arrested him for the crime he didn’t commit!  And Kang Chil, crying, because his best friend can’t save him!  He has to go get shot and stabbed again!  Then, in surgery, it is revealed that he is riddled with cancer.  FUCK YOU CANCER. His mom gives a heartbreaking speech wherein she admits that she is ignorant, can’t read, doesn’t understand what the doctors are saying, but will do anything, anything, even buy black market organs, if the doctors will just save her son. His son, crying, because he just found his dad at 16, and now almost looses him. Ji Na, crying, because her fucking evil ass father shot her damn boyfriend. Gook Soo, crying!, AH GOD CRYING!, because he still can’t save Kang Chil from his coma and his cancer and his fucking terrible ass muthafucking life! Wait, where am I?  Oh yeah, CRYING.  I’m crying!  The characters are crying!  I’m crying some more! And then I start laughing, because it is just too much.  And then Kang Chil, whose life is really fucking shitty, is laughing!  LAUGHING!  Because his mom loves him, and his best friend loves him, and his son loves him, and he loves Ji Na.   Fuck this show, it is the worst.  I love it.

So, I started Padam Padam kinda blown away by the weirdness and the violence. Especially delightful, to me, was the way the lead in the first episode was almost too aggressive and unpredictable to be likable.  Like, as if HBO were making a kdrama. 

And now?  I’m kinda watching a slow burn romantic drama with a mystery/crime subplot.  What?  How did that happen?  How do I feel about it?  I don’t know.
